Children’s Sunday School

We love children at The United Church, and our Sunday school program offers a welcoming and affirming place where they can explore the Bible, exchange ideas, grow in compassion, and discern their unique spiritual path. We have three classes for children in kindergarten through high school, as well as a nursery for younger children who are not ready for a classroom setting.

Sunday school actually begins in the chapel with our 10:00 worship service.  Children gather with their parents for the beginning of chapel worship and enjoy a children’s sermon with the pastor, Rev. Suzanne Blokland.  At about 10:15, children leave the chapel to go to the education building, where they’ll typically hear and discuss a Bible story, followed by a craft or other activity.  (Any child who prefers to remain in the chapel is always welcome to do so. Children young enough for the nursery may be brought to the nursery before the 10:00 service begins.)

After church, parents can head to the classrooms to pick up their children and join us in the fellowship hall for coffee, lemonade, and treats.

We hope you’ll join us on a Sunday morning soon!

Adult Sunday School

The adult Sunday school class meets at 9:00 each week in the education building behind the chapel. The content varies according to current interests. No preparation is required—just show up and enjoy the discussion.
